Production & Expiration Dating P&E The application of the correct production and expiration dates on products being shipped overseas is of primary importance. Incorrectly dated products are a sure way of losing a customer and being embroiled in costly claims. To reduce this exposure to AMFEX and its clients, AMFEX has implemented the following procedure. In addition to automated and physical quality control measures a sample run is produced and a digital photo is taken. A copy is forwarded to the customer via fax and/or E-mail and must be approved by the customer, in writing, before the production run is started. All production and expiration dating is applied using automated (Domino-inkjet660 & Domino-inkjet670) machines. Multi-lingual Label Production Label production and storage is completely computerized. Labels are either typed or scanned into the system. Once reviewed for accuracy and print quality a copy is forwarded to the customer via fax and or E-mail and must be approved by the customer, in writing, before the production run is started. There are many advantages to this system. The approval process reduces the possibility of content errors. Labels are stored for future use as computer files thereby reducing production delay due to not having labels on hand and having to await delivery from a third party supplier. Changes to ingredients, verbiage, or to meet individual country requirement can be easily made as required. ONLY the required amount of labels must be printed. There is no minimum or maximum. Therefore the customer is only billed for the required quantities. There is no unused or outdated label inventory to maintain The time frame from delivery to AMFEX to delivery to your customer is reduced. And that increases your cash flow. Label Application Label application is performed both manually and by use of automated system. (LabelPro 2000 Printer/Applicator) Here again a digital photo is taken and a copy is forwarded to the customer via fax and or E-mail for approval. Not only the label but its location on the product must be approved by the customer, in writing, before the production run is started. Re-Packaging In some cases shippers or customers may require product to be re-packaged, AMFEX can also provide this service. Required packaging materials can be inventoried and product can be re-packaged as needed. There is no charge for inventorying customer supplied re-packing materials. Shrink-wrapping is also available for some products based upon size and quantities. Re-taping is also automated as part of the production process. Climate Control / Refrigerated Services Climate Control / Refrigerated Services are available. However, due to facility limitation advance notice is required and rates are subject to individual shipment quantities and requirements. Shipment Consolidation Due to limited space AMFEX is not a consolidation warehouse as such but can provide short term warehousing as required for LTL consolidation to accommodate our regular customers.
